About Me

Born 11th of June 1999 in Eura, Finland, Elias is a small town kid standing at 6’7 (200cm). Ever since a little boy his passion for sports made him chase any type of ball, eventually choosing to dedicate himself fully to the orange leather.

Valtonen plays the guard/forward position and is known for his versatility on both ends of the floor. Despite his young age, Elias has played over a hundred games wearing Finland colors youth and men’s games included and has captained the teams on every youth level.

Once he graduated from the prestigious Helsinki Basketball Academy and was considered one of the top European talents, Elias chose to attend Arizona State University.

After two seasons at ASU, Valtonen started his pro career in Germany’s Pro A League, playing for Tigers Tübingen. A strong rookie campaign including the newcomer of the year award put him into the spotlight of Europe’s biggest leagues, eventually signing with the Spanish ACB and Basketball Champions League team of BAXI Manresa.  Elias’ journey continues…
